The P is an initial for the program mode. This “P” setting automatically controls shutter and aperture when you shoot. If you are not sure what you will shoot, use the “P” setting.
You should always enjoy taking pictures. Your photos should be a capsule of a particular time and place in your life. You should be able to look at these photos and instantly remember where you were and what you were thinking when you shot them. If taking pictures is fun, you’ll be more excited to learn new skills.
Consider taking photographs of the souvenirs bought on your trip. You may take a photo of the store it was bought in or shoot the object with a unique background. This helps you create an interesting photo essay around the souvenirs you selected that can increase your enjoyment of the photos once you return home.
Move in close to your subject. A subject too far in the distance loses too much detail for the shot to be very good. Do everything you can to make sure your subject stands out and is seen clearly.
